New freckles on Ivory

I have a 3 year old Ivory queen bee. Up until a month ago he was super clean, he has been off feed for about 3 months so I don't think he's going into shed. The last few weeks I've noticed he has gone from a few black freckles to a lot of them and his belly is pinking out. Temps and humidity are good and there definitely not mites. Any ideas?

Thise grey (they are grey right?) speckles actually remind me of the graphite ivory just not as pronounced.

We got him as an ivory queen bee but he hasn't been proven out so we don't know 100%. I'd be thrilled if produced some surprise bananas. The spider is pretty obvious with his little wobble though. Here a pic pre spots.
