    Herpstat 2 Troubleshooting

I just got a new Herpstat 2 today. Set it all up, but for some reason Output #2 reads "Probe Missing". I've tried both probes and both say the same thing, but they both work in Output #1. I have another Herpstat 2, so I'm fairly sure it's set up right. Anyone else had this issue? I emailed Spyder Robotics, but I figure I won't see a response until tomorrow.

Sounds strange. Are you sure the connector to the probe is all the way in and seated in the female port on the back of the thermostat? I haven't had this problem ever and i have 4 different herpstats. Spyder Robotics may get back to you tonight. Good luck. Try wiping the male connector of the probe also with a clean cloth.

Just checked again to make sure and the probe is pushed in as far as it will go. Not sure what the issue is. I'll update with the resolution.

Maybe try unplugging it from the wall outlet and that should reset the whole stat?

Tried unplugging and doing a restart back to default settings. Nothing. I know it's not the probe since they both work on port #1.

    Re: Herpstat 2 Troubleshooting

As a follow-up. I corresponded with Dion from Spyder Robotics last week on Friday. I informed him of the troubleshooting methods I attempted and agreed it seemed like the probe jack was malfunctioning. He immediately shipped a new unit out to me and it should arrive today. I will ship the malfunctioning unit back to him. If he lets me know what the issue was I'll update this post.
