What is congo?
What are the trademarks of congo? I just bought a female that's a super pastel calico congo, but just looks like a super pastel calico to me. And super pastel calico is what I was looking for anyway, so I nabbed her.
A lesser congo also just looks like a lesser to me, and same with congo with other combos, but I'm not experienced with looking at morphs much to begin with..

Congo is a dominate morph that was proved very early. It is basically a very nice enhancer gene. It has a slightly different color and pattern to it when compared to a normal. It will keep Pastel from "browning out". It can take a couple of sheds to see which snakes are Congo or Congo combinations. It never made any really awesome combinations, so it didn't get really popular. I have had a couple of clutches involving Congo, and have come to treat it as a bonus gene. The combination that I have like the best of what I have produced is the Congo Fire. When comparing the Congo Fire to a Fire sibling, Congo makes the combination brighter and cleaner.
Hope that helps

Hi Chris, the explanation helps a lot, thanks! It'll be a nice bonus when I'm going for disco combos then.

No problem. I was in a rush earlier and didn't look up my old thread, but here is my old thread on the first Congo Fire that I hatched out.
