Hatchling live to f/t

I just got a new bp have him set up in his home, the only thing is the breeder said he was one to two feedings away from going from live to f/t. My problem is I live in a small town and our only reptile store only carries f/t and the closest place to get live is 1.5 hours away but I don't have that kind of time to drive 3 hours with my work schedule. Do you have any suggestions on getting him to eat f/t?

Avoid that seller in the future. IMO he told you what he needed in order to make the sale. BP's are the most finicky eaters and while some may take f/t as a first meal, some may make the switch eventually and some may never make the switch. Just as some will only eat mice and not eat rats. He cannot guarantee that it will.

Make sure you thaw out completely, heat up to a nice temperature and when you're trying to feed your BP, use tongs and you can try either holding the rat by the tail or using tongs to grip behind the skull and sometimes this seems more like real movement to them.
