So far as I can tell, they haven't gotten my messages, but we sent the check, and I included typed note in the envelope.

They never cashed the refund check, so the money has not moved. They do really like the snakes and had wanted to wait and try feeding again before they did anything with it. Running the check through the paper shredder now appears to be the going plan.
