hogg island rack

Ive been taunting the idea at getting a boa as I have had one many many years ago. however I do not want one to get 8 feet long, I have read that hogg islands only get to about 5 feet. this makes me very interested. however I cant find a lot of info on them and their tub needs. currently my rack holds 4 28q tubs, does anyone know what the bare minimum tub size is for an adult hogg island male?

the male I had for many years long ago I kept in a 55gallon. he was a Columbian and close to 8 feet and 16lbs. I want to stay with a rack system though.

or some other red tail smaller versions? I'm familiar with the husbandy requirements as they are very close to the ball pythons needs, but I am new to anything outside of the traditional 8 foot redtail. what are the smaller ones called?

There are plenty of other smaller localities of boas, specifically mountain boas. If you have the money to invest in hoggs then they can be a good option, a true hogg may only stay 4 feet but they are often rather expensive. But as I said there are many options

Dominican red -5'-6'
Brazilian Rainbow Boa -5'-7'
Columbian rainbow -4'-5'
rosy/sand -never more than 3'
hogg -4'-6'
Tarahumara ~4'
Tamaulipas ~5'

Sand boas are nice snakes I have one in a 28 qt tub now and it will probably be okay for life.
If you stick with the conventional sizing for snakes to enclosures, snake length should be tub length + width(at a minimum).
So it's 16X23. Gives you about 39/40 inches for a snake? So your looking for something that would max out about 3, 3 1/2 ft.
