Probe Placement
So recently I've been kind of regretting not putting my probe in properly, or at least not how I should have when I first set it up. When I set up the thermometer and the UT heater I was told to place the probe between the glass and the heating pad. In retrospect I probably should have done that since now I have to move the probe into place whenever my BP moves it. And I cant stick it under the tank because the UT heater is already stuck on pretty good.
Is there a way I can permanently put the probe on top of the glass where the heater is? I was told a tiny bit of hot glue would do it since when it dries it doesn't get sticky.

To be sure we are talking about a thermometer probe and not the thermostat probe? A tstat probe should not be inside the cage.
If you are careful you can pull the uth off. I future tip is to never stick them to the cage to start with. Instead place foil on the sticky part and then secure the uth to the cage floor with tape. This allows for easy removal for moving the tank for cleaning or whatever and for moving the uth if needed. If you are talking about the tstat probe you can place it under the uth too. You just need a good IR temp gun and you can get the correct heat zone your snake requires.
If we are dealing with just a thermometer probe I'd ditch that for the hotspot all together and get a IR temp gun to monitor the location. Much more simple.
If you are determined to place the probe in the cage hot glue will hold it but the snake will end up knocking it loose at some point. It gets in the way for cleaning too.

You should have 2 probes, THERMOSTAT and thermometer....
Correct placement is the key.
