I use Pro Products PH3 65 watt on my Constrictor NW cage and do the same as others say. I put the Herpstat probe about 2" off the floor of the cage on the cool side and set it to 80F. On all my AP cages though, I run flexwatt with Herpstats but I also keep the room around 75F so it works good. You don't have to worry about the snake touching the RHP. I had my big boa in there for years and she used to touch it all the time and was fine. They cant lay on it so its fine. I personally prefer flexwatt with my set ups as I find it easier for me to keep the cage around 80F while keeping a constant 86F to 90F hot spot depending on each snake as they all seem to like a different temp hot spot lol.
