    Rhp or tape

Sorry, I didn't mean I was going to use both, just weighing which will be better. Starting to lean towards Rhp, as this cage will be in a classroom where I have little control over ambient temps.

I don't have pics on my phone right now but look on my profile, there's a few pics of the LED set up

Jmcrook - what are you using for handles on the doors?

I also have 2 T8's and use Pro Heat RHP (88W) and run them on a Herpstat 2. Have sliding glass doors with the lock. I ordered the LED's from AP (red lights). The red is great for night viewing as it doesn't bother the snakes, but it would definitely be nice to have white light for cleaning purposes. It gets pretty dark in the cage. I use coco chips and it's hard to see the waste.

I have a few T8s as well and I love them. I plan to order some larger AP cages soon. The cages are affordable, well made, and easy to assemble. The customer service is great too. I found some stick on mirror knobs on amazon for the sliding doors.

I've got stick on window/mirror pulls from Home Depot. Had to have them sent to the store because they don't stock them but they were only like $3 a pair.
Did Bob recommend 88 watts for your set up the same as mine? He told me to go with 65 watt. What are your high/low ambient temp in the room?
Yeah, in some ways I wish I had gotten the AP red lights but having the opt into push a button to switch to white for cleaning is definitely nice

Yeah, I keep my cages in the basement and my room temp is around 68-70F. That's what he recommended.

Huh. I told him my room temp gets just as low in the winter but up to 79 in the summer. Let's hope that 65 watts does the trick when it's the middle of winter here

I haven't noticed my Herpstat go above 65%. So that means it's only using about 57W. I think you should be ok, may just be actually heating close to full power for longer periods of time during winter.

I don't see where u can add led lights on the ap site. Do I need to contact them about that, or is it no longer available?

You need to email or call them. They cannot be added through the website.
