    Unfortunately that seems about the norm, it makes me quite upset seeing people do that to their animals. We have a responsibility as being the thing they depend on to properly care for our animals.

    I'm not sure how old or how big your boa is, but it should be eating prey items roughly the size of her girth without leaving a large bulge. If she's just a baby, I would stick to mouse hoppers over rat pinks because of the points I mentioned above. I would move up once the next size up is small enough to leave just a small bulge, it's ok for the prey not to leave any bulge while you wait to move up.
