scary odd hatching situation helppp please

so a first timer ive been stressing over this clutch for quiteee a long time pretty much sence they were laid but thats just becouse i stress anyway everythings gone quite swimmingly with the prosess until i cut as sugjested to me by a breeder whos been breeding for quite a while anyway i cut them on day53 as he said to and ive been letting them soak up and such anywhooo its now day 61 and they have still been squirming around and such but it seems theyve absorbed their yolk alredy and still havent made the decision to come out or even show me their heads im quite lost on the situation

As long as they are still squirming things are probably fine. Day 53 was too soon to cut IMO, but no harm no foul. Depending on the incubation temp they probably just need a few more days till they are ready. I have one out of 5 that still hasn't peeked two days after the others have all crawled out. Day 61 is not soon enough to suspect something is too wrong. Leave them be, give them more time. Good luck!

whennn shoud i start to freak and if it does come to that point what would be the best thing to do? is it possible for them to dry out?

If they are in an incubator with 95-100% humidity they shouldn't dry out. I've heard of eggs not hatching til day 70. What is your temp?

Here is the issue with someone saying cut at day 53, if you incubate a low temp and you hatchling pips naturally at day 62, you have your hatchlings being exposed to bacteria and they risk to dry out for the next 9 days, which ultimately is not a good thing.

While cutting can be a good thing, it can prevent hatchlings from drowning it should not be done too early.

I always encourage people to do it once the first hatchling pips or 48 hours before they are due, obviously if you cut 48 hours before they are due that means you have hatch enough hatchlings in the same envrinment and temps to predict acuratetly when they are due.

Now when it comes to your eggs it depends at what temps you incubated and what your eggs look like.

theyve been at 88 to 90 although i did have a night my heat source bummed out on me and it went to like 78 freaked me out real good i reely appreciate the help and kind advice ill be shure to keep the humidity good and temp good and hopefully everything will be fine and if not theirs been meany lessons learned in this little clutch that i can apply next year
