    Unhappy Bulging eyes

    New to the forum.

Hey everyone, I just bought a Super Lesser from a person who had to get rid of his snake due to an addition to his family. I saw the snake before I give him the money and was amazed by color of the snake. Upon further inspection when I got home, I noticed the bulging eyes and wondered if this is some type of genetic defect or is the snake sick?
Does anyone out there have a Super Lesser with big ole eyes like my new Python?? .. Pics to come when I get off of work.

Bulging eyes are a common defect of Super Lessers. Shouldn't be anything to worry about as long as they look nice and clear.

The bigger question here is whether or not you would breed a snake with a visible deformity, regardless of how common that deformity was with that lineage. Personally, I would not, and as a buyer I would not want to buy a snake that came from such an animal. Therefore, if you decide to breed and sell from it, you should be 100% transparent as to the physical condition of that animal.

    Good luck with it.

    Hey Warren,

I don't plan on breeding him simply because of the defect.. It wouldn't be fair

    Sooooo......

If Lesser x Lesser gives you Lucies with big eyes, and you breed one of the Lucies to a Pastel, all the babies should be just fine, right? Or is this particular snake just different than all the other Lesser Lucies?
