hognose bites
just had one of my hognose hatchlings try to devour my ring finger.
she's only 11 grams or so, but considering how it felt, i never want to get bit by the one that's pushing 400 grams.

For those who don't know ... it may be worth advising / reminding them that Hognoses are rear- fanged abs as such are mildly venomous ..

They actually rarely bite, I am a bite magnet yet this is the only species has never tagged me whether it's a 6 grams baby or a 600 grams adult.
There could be some slight swelling so if you have not done so remove your ring if you have one on that finger.

It is recommended that is you own and handle anything venomous regardless of how mild you keep an epi-pen near by. The venom may not be bad but an allergic reaction could be.

Mine tried once but was pretty easy to just push her away before she could work her mouth onto my finger-she was receiving meds at the time and was not impressed with me. For all her attitude that's the only time she's ever attempted a bite.
