Is My Ball Python too small for adult mice?

So I don't really know how to post a picture on the forum, but I know that my Ball Python is roughly 1 1/2 feet long with a 1 1/2 inch girth. Will her consistently eating adult mice make her obese? I know it's not very common, but i just want outside opinion. She ate and digested an adult mouse in two days without a problem, but I still wanted to be sure.

She will not be using that mouse to get fat, she'll be using that mouse to grow bigger all around. How often are you feeding?

Two good guidelines to follow are to feed a prey item no larger than 1.5x the snake's girth at it's widest point, or to feed a prey item that's roughly 10-15% of the snake's body weight. If you're within either of those parameters you should be fine. I would recommend getting your BP on rats sooner than later.

I feed exactly once a week, and she takes about ever time.

Yes, at her size that's about right. As she gets bigger you'll have to switch to larger rats. . .or feed multiple mice if she refuses rats or if rats aren't available. When the mouse no longer leaves a small lump that means it's time to move up.

ok cool. I've had her for about 3 months, and she was eating hoppers at the pet store, but she always had that "hungry" stare afterwards.
