Unhappy Ball python looks very red halfway through shedding! Very worried!

I was holding my ball python, and he started to rub against me as he ran through my hands and he began to shed. I took a wet faceclothe and wrapped it gently around him and though I would hold him with the faceclothe and help him shed. About halfway through I thought I would look and see his progress and saw that his lower half of his body was looking a light red or pink, and that his scales seemed to be slightly raised, unlike his other scales. Will he be okay? Should I be concerned? I am wondering if maybe I was just 'helping' along a shed that was not ready.

I attached an album that shows how his scales look. They only look like this on the lower half of his body.
