Youngest addition trouble...

I picked up a baby ball python (still on hopper mice) and he keeps lodging himself between the sliding glass door on his side of the animal plastics tank and the black edge. Before that he managed to wedge himself up behind the light that attaches to the top. He was able to get himself up and down from the ceiling location without trouble from what I could see but I am a bit concerned about his odd choices. He's in the middle of his shed to make things more fun. Here's a pic as an example. Just wanted to make sure he's not in danger with where he's choosing to squish himself. I have several hides set up throughout the tank and aspen bedding

I just got a young female from a show about a month and a half ago. The first week I brought her home she was doing the same thing. Once she got into her routine and had a few decent meals, she began acting more like my other ball pythons and uses her hides now instead of doing this. Based on my experience, it isn't anything you should worry about. Hopefully the shed is nice for you! Sometimes being in a new home so close to a shed makes it patchy.

If Mr. Wedgie is in the side with a bigger gap (door is the one closer to you), the easy solution is to swap sides. We had to do this with a big corn and small king snake a while back.
