OK, a true one.
After my first bearded dragon passed away from a grossly deformed liver (necropsy done), I cleaned the cage and adopted another one from a beardie rescuer. When I put the new beardie in the cage, the dog stuck his nose against the side of the cage and followed something I could not see from the cage across the dining room and around the kitchen, then whatever he was watching went upward across the living room. There were no insects in the house, and whenever he saw insects the dog's behavior was completely different from this. Insects were either ignored or snapped at, this was something that seemed to be fascinating him. Did the spirit of my first beardie leave when the second one took over the cage?
Edited to add: What he was following started out at the level of the cage, then went down along the dining room and around perimeter of the kitchen floor before ascending upward.
I had to have the dog put to sleep last August. I'd like to think he lives on, too.
