    He finally ate!!!

10 days ago, after 11 (yes, 11) loooong months of hunger strike, Sven, my 5 yr. old male BP finally ate! And what's even better is that he went into shed soon after he ate, and today he shed in one-piece! Bless the snake gods!

Cheers to him not skipping anymore meals foreverrrr! (Although I seriously wouldn't doubt it for a second that he's going to do it again )

WOW, 11 months? That's a looooong time! I would probably go insane out of my mind lol. Congrats! I'm still waiting for my little guy to have his first shed with me

    Re: He finally ate!!!

Yeah! It was incredibly frustrating to a point where I was even thinking of force-feeding him. But luckily I never acted on that and at least tried to stay patient the entire time.

My theory is that perhaps he went into that 11-month-long hunger strike because he was growing too fast. He went from 1200g to 2010g in a matter of 7 months! So perhaps he just wanted to go on a diet, hah...

Glad to hear you finally got him to eat!

And I sure do wish I had that willpower, too.

All three of mine ate their rats tonight. I was starting to worry about the little one who came from Petco, but her (much shorter) fast is over, too.
