The discussion about this bill has been going on for a really long time now actually.
You might want to read this -
    http://www.api4animals.org/232.htm

It doesn't mention anything about Boids.

Getting a permit's easy unless you plan to breed. I had to have one to keep my snakes in Delaware County, and it was as simple as going to the department in charge of it:
Tracie: "Hi, I'd like a permit to own snakes."
    ClerK: "Kay. How many?"
    Tracie: "3 at most."
    Clerk: "Anything over 6 feet?"
    Tracie: "Most likely not."
    Clerk: "Gonna breed them?"
    Tracie: "Nope."
    Clerk: "Sign this."

I doubt it'll pass, but if it does, you'd do well to be prepared. And thank the boxheads that keep Burms in their NYC efficiency and let them get out for pushing this bill closer and closer to signing.

Brian would need his parents to get the permit.
I highly doubt they give permits out to minors.

Welcome to New York, everyone, the "I can't stand to see anyone have any kind of fun whatsoever, so let's make a bunch of stupid laws banning anyhting that could possibly lead to injury, except sports and racecar driving" state.

If this keeps up, I am moving to Maine or something, lol.
