Do not ever use a tank for a baby BRB. They need 90% or higher humidity to survive. Get a tub with a securely latching lid, such as a Sterilite latchbox, use cypress mulch for substrate so it can burrow into the damp mulch, and a UTH on a thermostat set so the tub floor under the substrate is 85-86*F.

A 32-qt latchbox will be fine for a baby as long as it can burrow under the cypress, and it will last for about two years before you need to size up to a PVC enclosure.

Babies eat every 7-10 days. BRB's run at cooler temperatures so they eat less often than ball pythons; they have slower metabolisms.

Absolutely - and as always, as long as it's regulated by a thermostat. Sandwich the thermostat probe between the UTH and the tub. I would get a UTH that covers anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 the bottom of the tub.
