F/T arrived thawed, still goood or garbage??

So I recently received an order of feeders for my snakes and because of where i live i need to order and have the feeders shipped with dry ice. I've never had a problem with them being frozen upon arrival before but this last shipment i just received was fully thawed, and i'm unsure as to how long exactly they may have been thawed for, worst case being a day and a half, best case a half a day. I'm wondering if it's still possible to use these feeders after re-freezing them or will rot have set in and if they are just garbage?

Any tips on how i might be able to salvage some of the feeders would be great as i'm looking at $200 worth of feeders that i may have to throw away!

Most likely bad if they were fully thawed.

feeders were order from darwinsreptiles out of calgary. I'm also wondering what kind of complications arise if i were to try using these feeders, should they be bad?

They are most likely bad. Body cavity will be weakened. If you freeze and dethawed again most like you will have the feeders burst. NOT worth it. Smells. Mess. Etc...

Were they still refrigerator cold? If so, they should be OK. One re-freezing usually works reasonably well if they're still cold enough.

But yeah, definitely contact the company. Every time I've gotten an order, it takes the dry ice a few days to fully dissipate, so either they didn't put enough or they underestimated the temperature. Either way they should know.

Re: F/T arrived thawed, still goood or garbage??

The problem with re-freezing something thawed is that the decomposition process already started and when refreezing and thawing again you will end up with preys that will easily split open when feeding them, and trust me eploding feeders with gut spilling everywhere is not that fun.

Re: F/T arrived thawed, still goood or garbage??

I'd take pics, call the company and let them know. Some companies will make things right, as long as the thawed prey isn't from something like the buyer not being home to sign for the package.

I order my rodents from www.bigcheeserodentfactory.com and I've never had an issue won getting thawed out rats. I once got a package 2 days late and it was still frozen.

I understand $200 can be a lot of money, but I personally wouldn't risk feeding those to my snakes.
