For sale- juvenile Gold dust day geckos (P. laticauda)
For sale- Juvenile Gold Dust Day geckos (Phelsuma laticauda) $25/each
Photo is an adult female (NFS) and a newly hatched baby.
P. laticauda is an excellent introductory day gecko species. These are a small-midling size day gecko, with adults being 4-5" in length. Adults are very pretty-- green with a rainbow of secondary colors including blues, reds and a speckling of gold "dust" across the head and shoulders. Day geckos are diurnal and very active during the day, out basking and chasing food. They look great in planted vivs similar to what you keep dart frogs in, with more woody branches. P. laticauda are one of the easiest Day Gecko species to care for and a good starter day gecko species. Day geckos do require some supplemental heat (a small basking bulb), UV light and humidity (misting 1-2 times per day suffices).
I have available several unsexed juveniles. They are eating Pangea crested gecko diet, fruit flies and dusted pinhead crickets. All are siblings from a wild caught pair. Size ranges from 1.5" to 2" and 5-9 weeks of age.
