I finally got bit for the first time.

So I finally got bit and it was absolutely hilarious. This past weekend was my first reptile show, and at the end of it I walked away with a male Super Pastel Lesser and a female Bumblebee. Anyway. We're home now and I'm setting up their rack so I go to check on them. I open the males holding cage and I'm just loving it. I look at his neck and I'm just thinking to myself, 'is he in a striking position?' Next thing I know he snaps on me like a gun and get my finger. I couldnt believe it. I also couldnt believe how much it didnt hurt at all. I walked over to tell my girlfriend and couldnt believe it was actually bleeding. That was it? All this buildup wondering when I'd get bit for the first time and that's all these cute little pythons have got? I'm almost dissapointed lol. Anyway. It was a really funny experience.

Can it be an Oatmeal Cookie? I know theres no pride in getting bit, and I'm glad this is a tiny ball python and not something that could actually hurt me or cause me pain, but all be if it wasn't hilarious.

One things for sure, the only thing I feared with my snakes was getting bit, so I'm glad I can lay that fear to fear to rest. Still absolutely gonna respect my animals, but I now have 0 fear of even their worst behavior. The only thing I'd be worried about would be if one coiled up on my hand and wouldn't let go.
