Does anyone have candling documentation of each day of incubation?

I would love seeing pictures from each day (or even once a week) of incubation to see how the egg develops on the inside in the time frame.

I did some day 40, 45, and 50 shots a few years back. I will see if I can find them. As I recall you really could tell much difference in them. Just kinda a dark blob.

The less you mess with your egg and open the egg tub and let humidity out the better off you are so people usually candle when they put their eggs in the egg box and if there is a problem with the egg.

I had one clutch that I did candle a lot........
Lost two Super Mojaves because they had tied umbilicals.
I don't screw with any of the eggs more than I have to now.

I lost one to a twisted umbilicus after I had candled it quite a bit. Think if a baby in the womb were to suddenly have a bright light shined in its eyes. It would be natural to assume the baby would try to cover its eyes or turn away from the light. A baby snake in the egg would be no different except it doesn't have hands to shield its eyes. So its only recourse is to try and flee from the light and in the process possibly twist itself up.

That's a good tip/warning! I candled a lot on my first clutch forever ago because I didn't know better. They were fine but I can see the danger. I only candle now if I'm worried.

I didn't realize the dangers of candling too much, thanks for the warning guys Its my first clutch so I wasn't sure. And thank you for the pictures, that is quite a bit of difference in just a few days!
