Racks at Reptile Show

Hey guys/gals,

Just wondering if you guys have gotten any good deals on snake racks at reptile shows. I am going to Reptile Super Show in Pomona next month and besides a new BP I was looking into getting a rack to accommodate my two current BP and the one I plan to get while at the show. Just wondering if there are deals to be found or if i should just start looking online for some and order sooner.

There no haggle on supply at the show, the deal is you do not pay for shipping , the price is the price unless some manufacturer does a special if pre-ordered and paid in full prior to the show which can happen.

In Florida I've been to a few repticons and there's usually little options for racks. One company brings a bunch and that's it. Cserpents is listed as being AT shows but it seems like aside from the really big ones they just have another vendor bring the ordered racks for customers to pick up.

But the show I went to in Denver they had like 3 guys selling racks, and one was a pretty cool one for hatchlings to juveniles while the other two had more variety.

So looking up vendors before hand and contacting them will be the best idea. You won't get a "deal" on a rack but you'll make sure you get the exact rack you want. I went to the repticon in Tampa when I had one snake, I bought 2 more snakes and I really needed a rack. My only option was a combo 15qt/32qt rack and I really wish I would have just gotten a bigger 28 or 32qt rack.

I got a AP CB70 7-shelf from the breeder I bought a banana from at Repticon. It retails for $455 plus shipping and tax but he sold it to me used for $250. Went and picked it up from his house half an hour away and it was well worth it.

Never hurts to ask the breeders if they have any used racks for sale.
