i use a rack which helps hold in humidity, and paper towels as a substrate, but besides when one of my snakes is about to shed i dont spray. my humidity hovers around mid 50's - 60 %. If humidity is an issue for you maybe block some of the air flow holes in your tubs or make sure the holes are near the middle or bottom of the tub. good luck!
