    Question First shed, quick question

So, my bp just finished her first shed with us, (she's rescued.) 90% came off in one piece with 2 smaller pieces coming off separately.

None of it was left on her - I found it in one big mass in her tank. When I began to stretch it out is when I found the 2 smaller pieces. (Maybe it was one piece and tore?)

Is it still considered a "bad shed" if she shed in a few pieces, or is it only bad if skin is left on her?

I sprayed her tank a few times a day, spiking it to 75/80% and then it would drop to 60% over night and I would mist it again in the day and keep it high.

I only consider it a 'bad shed' if some is left on the snake. With all the rubbing and scrapping to get a shed off it can get torn in the process.

    Re: First shed, quick question

It's a good shed as long as everything comes off.

Tears in the shed are not a big deal, just make sure she didn't retain any eye caps. Happens all the time. Sheds become brittle once they dry, which doesn't take too long. So no worries.
