Congrats!That is a beauty for sure!! Don't worry, I'm sure with time he will calm down. My one carpet was a real fireball when I got her and now other than the occasional nip if I startle her when she doesn't want to be bothered she is a total sweetheart. Morelia are addicting, good choice

Thanks! I've gotten so many compliments on him. He's definitely a looker! I hope he continues to brighten up nicely. The breeder said his parents are really nice looking snakes, so here's hoping! And that's good to know. He has already settled down a little bit, and he was no where near this nippy at the show. I'm sure he'll be great once he gets adjusted.

He is a bit of an ass, lol, but I'm hoping he's like most and calms down. My big ol' ball definitely seems like a cuddly puppy dog in comparison. The breeder said he's around a year. I just cannot get over their beauty. There's definitely nothing else like them.

Still a long way to go, but he's calmed considerably since he first got here. Still strikes a ton, but they're all defensive ones. When he's calm, he's actually really good! And probably a really stupid question, but do anyone else's carpets love pooping in their water dish? He exclusively poops in there... his own personal 'toilet'.
