When he shed, did the scales over his eyes come off with the skin?

My pied gets pink blotches on his white portions from coiling up in his hide and pressing against the inside walls. They go away once he's out and about.

Thanks for that question. I'm not certain whether the scales over his eyes came off. I've never attempted to observe that. He did have a very clean shed, in one piece. If the eye scales haven't come off, how do I correct that? From googling I've read that one may apply a dab of mineral oil. Might this work, or have you any other suggestions?

If the pink is from his hide, I have never noticed it before. He is resting atop his hide. And again, nor have I seen his eyes so grey. Perhaps it's because they should have been shed for awhile now? If this is not due to an incomplete shed, could it be something I should be concerned about, to the point I should see a vet? He does seem a bit sluggish, though perhaps he's disconcerted from the old unshed scales on his eyes. Thanks again
