How often to feed a 500g female?

I know this is a crazy question but,...I have several females and males that lose weight when I feed them once a week. Some continuously gain. But in this case should I feed more often? Or still once a week?

Well first it depend ds when you weigh your animal, weighing on empty would give you an accurate picture.

Second if you feed but your animals does not gain weight and even lose some you either do not feed adequately or you may be dealing with internal parasites.

I feed everything once a week once they are over 250 grams, below that I might feed twice a week depending on how much of an agressive feeder the animal is.

Re: How often to feed a 500g female?

I feed every Tuesday and my babies, I feed tues and Saturday. I weigh them empty once a month and log everything. Some that are roughly around 4 to 500g lose maybe 20 to 30g. I think maybe feeding twice a week like the babies might help. Speaking of internal parasites...is there anything over the counter to get just in case? I've never had any problems with mites or health problems. Knock on wood!!

Large mouse, or a small rat. Or sometimes 2 small mouse depending on what the store has at the time.
