New 3 week old bp has snake mites

I just got a albino black pastel in the mail today, and the breeder said he's 3 weeks old. Once I took him out of the snake bag it was very obvious that he had snake mites. I was going to treat him with the natural chemistry reptile spray, but the directions say to only use on animals 12 weeks and up. I'm at a loss as to how I should treat the mites on this little baby snake, and I currently have one other 8 month old bp and I'm worried he's now at risk for the mites also.

This is a great reason you need to quarantine any new animals.
By this time you have probably already spread them to your other snake unless you do have a quarantine area?

Spray the Reptile Spray on a towel and rub your new mite infested snake down. Mist the paper towels in its enclosure too.

I appreciate the fact that I need to quarantine, and I've moved him to an area separate from my other snake. But as this is my second snake ever, I wasn't expecting to open the box and find a mite infested snake. Also the directions on the spray specifically say not to use it on animals under 12 weeks, so are you saying I should ignore that warning?

Funny, when I open boxes I expect to find a mite-infested snake and then am pleasantly surprised when I do not.

With a young snake I wouldn't apply the reptile spray directly. Spray a paper towel, wipe it on the baby, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe it off with a paper towel damped with water.

The way I took care of the mites from a rescued balls i got was luke warm water in a plastic tupperware and a drop of dawn soap soak the snake for about fifteen minutes and then I rinsed him in luke warm clean water.I did that twice and all the mites was gone.

Well, this is a very optimistic outlook. It takes only one female with eggs to jump off the snake before bath time to start the cycle over again.
