    Any info

So i purchased a tiger yesterday from Repticon the breeder was explaining to me the genetics of it and where it came from. I had my kids with me and couldn't really focus in on what he was saying. I wrote him today and was asking about the genetics and he told me it is.

He is jolliff line axanthic. Jolliff line tiger. His is the original tiger line and it a condom gene. It's a genetic banded animal. Has nothing to do with enchi or desert.

But I'm still a lil confused about it anyone have information on this line or can point me in the rite direction.

I quick search gave me these. There are other things called tiger but they are crosses. There is nothing in KM's book about them. Very nice looking animal.

Well for starters that is not an axanthic.

There are a ton of different morphs with different names that can all be called genetic banded. Tiger is one of them. There not really much more to say about it, if it is truly a genetic banded animal each offspring has a 50/50 shot at also having the gene.

Tiger originated with Mike Joliff way back when.... before someone else decided to use the same name for the Desert Enchi Combo.

A few people still work with tigers, Will Bird work with Tiger Albinos, I used to have one of his female (she now belongs to a member here).

Since I have produced Tiger DH Albino Pied and Tiger Albino Het Pied.

    He is jolliff line axanthic.
Now when it comes to YOUR animal while it might be a Tiger (genetic banded) it is not however Axanthic.

So now if the animal was sold to you as an Axanthic I would get in touch with the breeder immediately.
