The only display animal we have in my house is my daughter's bearded dragon and he is in a tank in the living room. I have quite a few ball pythons of which none have ever been display animals. If I want to look at them I just take them out. They have actually claimed the master bedroom because that room was the easiest to climate control. I am pretty much on ambient year round now. So i do have a snake room, but with various quarantines going almost year round the snakes are pretty much all over the house. My family pretty much puts up with it. Cleaning day and feeding day are a family affair. It is our normal. The side benefit is very few people are willing to vacation at my house even if I live in sunny South Florida. I guess what I am saying is if you are an addict you are going to buy them until you either reach your personal maintenance limit or cannot afford to feed them. Even if you get your room, you will still end up having stuff everywhere.
