    power out back up

So our power went out for 13 hours last week and luckily it was warm enough my snakes didn't have issues... I have since bought a back up power system but when I tested it with my ve300 and the thermostat makes a weird noise when running on the battery. Does anyone have experience suggestions thoughts on if it's ok to use or other back up power suggestions?

When you lose power providing a hot spot is really not the priority however maintaining a healthy ambient temp is.

You can use a generator or a buddy heater in the winter and in the summer if you lose power and the temperatures do not fall under 75 degrees there is nothing to worry about.
