    Getting into breeding

I'm slowly purchasing breeders from someone getting out of the hobby.

Right now I have 1.1pastel and 0.1 spider.

Wondering when to start pairing them. And other breeding advice?
They are all of weight. I will get pics up soon.

    Thanks

Start small to get your feet wet with breeding. If you're buying younger ones, grab females first as they take longer to get to size and age. Always think ahead for what you want to try to create. Don't just buy every "great deal" animal that comes along. You'll get inundated with too many animals really fast. Focus on quality over quantity. Some pair all year long. I personally pair them starting November 1st and typically pair them until the end of March. Seems Like most breeders breed the females around 1500 grams. I personally wait until 1800. Tends to yield big, healthy eggs. And big hatchlings. Personal preference on that size too.

Last piece of advice is to always put the animals well being first and make sure to keep enjoying the hobby.

    Good Luck

    Mike

Also focus on cleanliness and your husbandry bc those two things will turn out to be the foundation of your collection. It's health and longevity of your individual animals. Good luck!
Stay in peace and not pieces.
