I added an UTH to my setups as backup heat. The UTH is connected to a thermostat, so if something happens to my light or if the bulb burns out, the UTH will kick on.

I live in a northern climate and it gets super cold here. One of my snakes is in my classroom, and when we have snow days, I don't want to be stuck sitting at home under three feet of snow wondering if the heat bulb blew out or not and if the classroom pet is warm enough.
