Lightbulb Snake on Fleece Blanket Viral*

    Hi.

I just saw this video, like many of you, which went viral recently.

    https://youtu.be/GHSD8EW0gNo

I am very intrigued, and would like you guys to shed some light on the matter.

If anyone has facts as to why this works or actually doesn't with every snake.

Maybe do some experiments, slow motion tests, etc.

Could be a good safety method.

Re: Snake on Fleece Blanket Viral*

I'm excited for potential videos. When my snakes come out of shed I may try this out. I assume it's because there is low friction so the snake can't grip onto anything. Id assume if it tries one of the other types of motion that is less side to side and more forward it would move alright

The coefficient of friction (COF), often symbolized by the Greek letter µ, is a dimensionless scalar value which describes the ratio of the force of friction between two bodies and the force pressing them together. The coefficient of friction depends on the materials used; for example, ice on steel has a low coefficient of friction, while rubber on pavement has a high coefficient of friction. Coefficients of friction range from near zero to greater than one.

LOL. This is hilarious because the next post says "snake treadmill". I hope I am not the only one to see the humor.

Cute video but I can't help but feel like that snake must be stressed. I've only ever seen the balls move that fast when there is food or danger around. Kinda looks like panicy movement to me.

Unless it thinks it's swimming. Lol
