    Nice! Yea, give him time and he will. Like everyone says, they'll eat when they want lol. I keep him in his enclosure when I feed him, I'm not really buying into the whole "it'll mistake you for food if you feed him in the enclosure" argument. And yea, if he won't eat for you, try turning off all the lights and leaving the rodent in. If it's live though, just go far enough where he won't see you but you can still monitor to make sure things go well. Good luck!
