I set helix for 84 but when checked temperature it was on 86. I put tank on floor in corner because I wasn't able to get onto tank with it that high.
Also removed helix this morning and iam monitoring temp. Helix may not have been consist trying without.

Are you using another thermostat since you removed helix? You must regulate your uth. The first thing I would check as the problem would be the temp gun, I would get an acurite 00891 thermometer or a different brand temp gun to compare to the one you already have.
