Does a Banana x Black Head exist?

These are two of my favorite morphs but i have yet to see a combo of these morphs? Can someone grab a picture or info about one and let me know? These two individual types are probably going to be my next couple purchases and i have some plans of breeding them in the future (getting a black head in july and banana probably soon after) because I couldnt find anything about a cross between them. I was just curious as to what type of stuff it comes up with. It seems like it could be an area with awesome genetic material and the purple/yellow mixed with the deep black back could make some really cool stuff.

Are you still going for that? And thanks! I don't see a lot of black head mixes on simple morphs (like butter, enchi, mystic, or even pastel) on wob so I guess it is up to me to populate their list

Currently no. I cut down some of my breeding ideas and blackhead was one of gene's i didn't actually get in to. Of course i could just save this idea for the future or if you wanna shot for super bh banana's go for it. I saw a female super blackhead on kingsnake like a year or so ago and really really wanted to get her but the price was just to high for me it was around 3k . I think bh is a great gene but the super form is where its at for me.If you wanna focus on blackhead stuff go for it bh needs more attention any way. If you want a bh i'll recommend ralph davis his site is kinda down right now im sure you could contact him though. Also you might get a kick out of this i wanna share a pic of a supposed blackhead orange dream pastel i could of got but decide on my ghi pastave cause the bh od was $700 more. He said she was one of two ever produced her blushing is mind blowing.

Re: Does a Banana x Black Head exist?

Oh wow that blushing is insane! and the black on her is super deep!

Thanks for the recommendation, i may check him out later but i got a supplier lined up for July. Local breeder named David who I met at my first expo is doing 4 or 5 bh clutches this season and he offered me a tour of his room and first pick of the ones i want before the next expo. You can see a couple of his new hatch bh stuff here http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ack+head+ghost.

I agree with the super form thing and I think that the super black head banana is going to be my end goal for this project unless I think about something crazier (try for a pied maybe?). Super blackheads are awesome and I think mixed with my butters and ghost and when i get a banana it could make some really awesome stuff. even if it is not a crazy cool morph just a super bh would be amazing to me. Of course I have a couple years before I am set up for breeding (my closest to age female is just over 1 year. She is big though and her mum was absolutely massive at 4400g (and in her clutch dropped 14 healthy eggs)). The absolute soonest I could breed would be this next season and that is if i really embrace the "18 month rule/ 1500g" rule which I am not sure i will. That doesnt even consider that I dont have a female Banana yet so another couple years to get her to breeding size. My point is that it wont be right away that we will see this from me but it is definitely a cool and unique direction to go in for the future

Re: Does a Banana x Black Head exist?

Oh you know fatsnakes oh ok. Since you know him i'm sure he's good start for a bh project and you can see his collection personally as well. Regarding your year old female. I think its good to go past the 1500g mark. My trick and killer bee girls are past 1500g but i'm gonna go past that some what. I believe people breed late in the year so i might try then. So yeah if your really want to get into bh i say go for it and best of luck if you do.
