Getting back in the game
Long story short I had a starting breeding program and then my kid was born, I got deployed twice, wife had medical issues etc... Now sorted and finally getting back into the game. Wife is also jumping in with a 1.1 breeding pair of albino Hognose!
Made friends with a good breeder in Philly and picked up this guy today, arriving Wednesday.
Poss double het Leopard/Blood. From the look and color of him I'd be willing to bet his is both. If not he'll just be a badass looking BCI.
Very excited to finally get back into the game. Have to go look at some of my old posts and grab my old rack plans and head to Home Depot and Wal Mart tomorrow to build a rack.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Good for you!
I actually feel this hobby is, in many cases well suited for "settled adults". Don't get me wrong because once you have the care/housing down snakes are generally easy pets, and with fairly basic requirements, they can be maintained by a busy teen or college student.
That said, your previous situation was an example of life throwing a curve and forcing you to give up a passion for very real reasons.
Its great to see you settled and dialed in.
What a beauty to get back into snakes with!

Yep, life throws curves for sure. At 50, I am not only settled, I'm settled and satisfied.
This hobby is my R&R when I need a place to sit and relax. Snakes are also great for traveling folks. I can pack up the family fly someplace for a 10 day trip and not worry. When I get too old to care for my animals, both of my kids are on board to take over.
That's all beside the point.
Getting back into the game with a snake like that is the way to go for sure.

Thanks all. He's coming in tomorrow, very excited. Although I am coming down to the wire with a setup. Getting all materials for an eight 41qt sterelite rack and have a herpstat and flexwatt coming. Will make do with a carefully monitored rheostat for the next few days.
Will be totally ready when the wife's hogs come in. She is getting a 1.1 proven pair of 100% het albinos.
