Remind me again!
I acquired a small (guessing 4-6 month old) super pastel ball python. I have a Reptile Basics rack with adult tubs and was wondering if the adult size tubs are too big for such a young ball python. Do I need to purchase a smaller tank until it grows into the adult tubs or will the adult tub suffice?

37 quart tubs.
Also....my Reptile Basics rack, CB70, has three tubs. I am using a Spyder robotics thermostat. Since heat rises should I set the thermostat on the bottom tub? It's empty by the way. Set the heat at 90 degrees? Just want my snakes to be in the best of health. Thanks!

Re: Remind me again!
If it's the 41q tubs you could buy a smaller tub and just put it in the spot of one of the 41q. If its the 28 and they are to big you can do the same thing.

Re: Remind me again!
Place the probe with a tub on the probe pressing it to the heat tape. You may want to put foil tape on the probe wire to secure it to the tape but do not put tape on the actually probe itself just the wire right after the probe. If you have an ir temp this next part will be easier, go through and take temps of the floor of the tub under substrate and make sure it is not over 94. If you only have probe thermometers you will have to place the probe in each tub and let it sit for 10 minutes to adjust. If the tubs are not withing range you will have to set your thermostat to a happy medium temp since they probably wont all be the same. If each tub has a way different temp then try moving thermostat probe to different locations on the heat tape. You can thin out substrate (unless you using paper towels) to get the temp on top of substrate to the temp you want but remember not to go over 94 under the substrate.
Beautiful snake by the way!
