DIY Enclosure Tips?
I'm planning out some new enclosures for my snakes, will possibly be constructed from a wood frame with PVC sheets layered over in a shelf-like system. Does anybody have any tips or forwarnings from knowledge/experience? Help would be greatly apprecieted! Thanks!

Why frame it in? How thick is the PVC you are planning on using?

Unfortunately there are no shops around that sell PVC in sheets exept for Home Depot, in which case the only sheet wide enough to serve is 1/16" thick. A strong frame would be necessary because of how thin the sheet is. I looked into PVC online but the shipping is crazy on every site I've found. I am a little worried that the sheet will be too thin so I will be testing its durability before using it.

If it's not too expensive you could double up on the PVC if it's too thin

Re: DIY Enclosure Tips?
They don't have 1/2 inch 8'x4' PVC sheets at your local home depot? They carry them at my local home depot for $78. Unless the 8'x4' is not big enough.

Not in my area :C. I went up to my Home Depot to take a look at the 1/16" sheets and boy they are thin! (Probably should have been obvious), luckily on my way out I found some 3/4" melamine board that would be perfect! I won't be able to use PVC but melamine will serve just as well for BPs and corns. Can't wait to get everything planned out and started!

Re: DIY Enclosure Tips?
I used the 3/4 melamine board to build a rack system recently . I used white for the sides and it came together pretty easy. Seems to hold the heat and humidity well. As long as you find a good way to seal the edges melamine can work just as well as PVC board. But boy is it heavy.

Re: DIY Enclosure Tips?
There's no way to order pvc for pickup at home depot so you don't have to pay shipping?
