Also as stated by someone good job on taking advice and getting the necessary equipment immediately, if you would of waited and really thought no thermostat was needed then we would of seen a post about your snake being burnt. In no way is it your fault, to often are snakes bought with the seller not giving the necessary information and it's not there fault either bc they don't know either.
