He must have been stuck in there all night. I tried to entice him out to no avail and finally decided to get a hammer and break the pot to free him. He'd gotten caught in the hole the week prior after a larger meal but managed to squeeze himself in after a while. This time he had a smaller meal so I figured he'd be ok even though the little voice in my head told me to take out the hide. I should have listened. In any event after a few whacks with the hammer he was free and seemed fine. I came back in to check on him before leaving for work and saw him upchuck the previous nights meal. It was still intact and I disposed of it in the woods behind my place. I know it was stressful for him and I'm thinking he's fine now but the plan is to not feed or handle him again for 2-3 weeks and then I'll probably give him really small mouse fuzzy for a couple of feeds before resuming his normal feeding schedule. I've also removed the hide and put in a few of the basic black reptile basic hides. Lesson learned.
Good plan to wait. While you are get some NutriBAC from TheBeanFarm.com. It's a powdered probiotic for reptiles. I usually just dust a bit on a damp f/t feeder.
