    What are you using to heat and are you regulating the temp with a thermostat or something? Do you use a temp gun or digital thermometer with probe? I ask bc I see none of these things in the pic. Also cover the sides and back with black construction paper or something so it's not so wide open. Is that a reptile basics medium hide? If so and if it's to big you can stuff moss in it to make it smaller and more snug. I personally would get a smaller log and water dish and add another hide for the cool side.
