    Sperm retention?

I have had a read but my brain doesn't work very well this late at night ( despite it only being 11pm here lol )

My lesser female hasn't been paired this season just finished. Last season she was paired frequently but didn't lay eggs despite ovulation being witnessed by her previous keeper ( i assume she reabsorbed? )

Would it be correct of me to say that she would have been capable of retaining the sperm and laying this season from last years breedings?

Obviously I have not witnessed anything to suggest she may but felt I should ask to gain myself a little extra knoweldge xx

You witnessed building last year not an ovulation, if female ovulates she will lay eggs (whether healthy or slugs she will lay)

They can reabsorb follicles but if/when it happens ovulation will not occur generally speaking once a female's follicles reach 30/31 mm she will not likely reabsorb.

A little advice there is no need to frequently pair a female once a month is more than enough, twice at most if you do not see anything suggesting that they locked.

As for retain sperm it can happen and she could lay eggs that were sired by last year's male.
