Why???
Recently I've became really curious as to why people purchase wild-caught Ball Pythons when there is such a vast amount of captive-bred animals that it seems as if someone has to go out of their way to look for a WC specimen. Yeah the snake is more likely to be cheaper, but the first thing you see in care sheets and books is the author emphasizing the fact that you should not buy these snakes. For those of you out there who keep WC/imported BPs, why??

My boy, Lue, is Captive-Hatched rather than Wild-Caught. However, I still paid as much for him as I did for my Black Widow, Super Pastel or Pastel het. Pied. I just happened to really love the way he looks. Do I think he's something new and amazing...? No. I really don't. I think he's just a wonky 'normal'. Maybe I'm wrong, and that would be pretty awesome... but it doesn't matter. He's Lue, and he's gorgeous.

Re: Why???
even if not a new gene fresh bloodlines of existing genes too can be found in captive hatched and wild caught snakes but alot of people buy wc and ch just to try for a new gene dinker
Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
