I find it weird that my hide is trapping in heat, this morning I checked my temperature and it still read 83.4F, I put it inside the hide and it read a little over 92F, then I slid the probe under the paper towel and it was getting 92.1F... then I put the probe on top of the paper towel, removed the hide and left the probe there, and it's dropping. Tomorrow I'm going to see if my new heatmat works better. This clearly isn't right. I'm thinking about using aspen instead, so I can bury the probe in the aspen since my snake would probably bury himself in that, too, unless that blocks heat even more than the paper towels seem to be.Originally Posted by chrid16371
