Bottom cages transfer heat to top cage

I have a month until my toffino enchi is paid off and I'm testing the cage I have set up for her. I have a v211 sitting on top of a v221. The v221 has a 40w rhp in it and is heating my cool side of the v211 to 86. I put 2 inch spacers in between once the temp raised to 84 bc I knew it was going to be a problem. Well the spacers helped I'm sure but didn't solve the problem. Anyone have any ideas on how to make this work? Possibly anything I could put between them that could stop the heat from getting to the top cage?

Foam insulation would probably help. can get different thinknesses from 1/4 -2inches.

Yeah I thought about that but its $30 for a sheet and I only need a fraction of that.

Is the bottom v211 turned off completely no heating at all?

Make it your hot side instead or switch cages top to bottom. RHP put off a lot of heat-I have stacked pvc cages with them and just use it to my advantage.

I shut off the bottom cage since there's nothing in it yet. Once I find something to absorb the heat I'll turn it back on to test again.

I would prefer to keep the bigger cage on bottom. I've read other people having the same problem but once they put spacers in between it fixed it, for some reason I'm not having the same luck. It actually affects my hot side temp as well.

Ok so I raised the cage another inch and found 2'x2'x2" thick insulation foam board and it helped a little. There is a air gap between the foam and bottom cage and foam and top cage, should I tape the foam board to one of the cages? If so which one? Also would it help if I foil tape one side of the foam insulation?
